NDC Capstone Course participants meet President

Participants of the Capstone Course of the National Defence College (NDC) met President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban in the city on Tuesday afternoon.

NDC Commandant Lt Gen Sheikh Mamun Khaled led the delegation during the meeting.

The President said the course with the participation of people from different professions, including MPs, journalists, business leaders, civil bureaucrats and military officials, creates the scope for exchange of ideas among them.

"As a result, a scope is created to resolve the difference of opinions in the society. Such a forum can play an effective role in formulating and implementing policies," President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin quoted him as saying.

Abdul Hamid also hoped that the participants of the course will use their acquired knowledge for the nation building and constructive work.

Earlier, NDC Commandant Mamun Khaled apprised the President of various aspects of the course.

The Capstone Course on national security and strategic studies is designed to enhance knowledge, skills and networks of the participants.

The aim of the course is to enable higher level leadership and elites of various strata of the society to have common understanding of major challenges to national security and development of Bangladesh.

Secretaries to President were also present during the meeting, reports UNB.
