Natore priest went into hiding willingly!

The Natore police have claimed that the missing Christian priest, who was rescued on Friday from South Surma Bus Terminal area of Sylhet district town, willingly went into hiding.

Superintendent of Natore district police Biplob Bijoy Talukdar said that Father William Walter Rosario, assistant priest of Jonail Borny Church and also headmaster of St Lewis High School, was not abducted; he willingly went into hiding as he was mentally sick.

The police super was addressing a press briefing at his office on Saturday, reports UNB.

He said the priest Rosario set out on his motorcycle on November 27 and stayed overnight in Tangail district town and headed for Sylhet next morning.

Later police found his motorcycle in an abandoned condition in Nabiganj area of Habiganj.

On Friday noon, police rescued Rosario from South Surma bus terminal area of Sylhet.
