National museum hosting photo exhibition on Rohingyas Friday

A day long photo exhibition themed on 'Rohingya: the stateless refugees in Bangladesh' will be held at the lobby of Bangladesh National Museum in Dhaka on Friday.

The national museum is organising the exposition where photos captured by Bayazid Akter, a documentary photographer and photojournalist, will be displayed.

This is the Bayazid's 7th photo exhibition organised by the museum on the issue, according to a news agency report.

Prominent historian Professor Dr Syed Anwar Hossain will inaugurate the exhibition while Professor Robaet Ferdous of Mass Communication and Journalism department at Dhaka University will attend in the inaugural ceremony, among others.

Over 0.65 million Rohingyas have so far fled into Bangladesh amid persecution carried out by Myanmar army in Rakhine state since August 25 last, according to UN Migration Agency.
