National flag remains half-mast on Victory Day!

The national flag of the country was kept half-mast at the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) office on Saturday, the 47th Victory Day.

According to a local TV channel, the national flag was seen hoisting high atop the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on the great victory day when the whole nation was celebrating it with the sense of utmost joy.

People from all strata, including the former cricketers and BCB directors alike, expressed their displeasure and anger.

They also demanded proper action against those responsible for the mismanagement.

BCB director, also a former national cricket team skipper, Akram Khan said it is unfortunate that people responsible in this regard did not accomplish their duties properly.

BCB director Ahmed Sazzadul Alam Boby considered it to be an embarrassment on the great national day of victory.

He promised to investigate into the incident, saying "We’ll look into the matter."

Another former national cricket captain, Minhazul Abedin Nannu also felt embarrassed and slammed the BCB’s failure to live upto the spirit of the Great Day of Victory.
