Two people were killed when a covered van run over them on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway at Shikarikanda in Mymensingh city on Thursday.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately, reports a news agency.
The accident took place around 7:00am when a covered van knocked down two pedestrians, leaving them dead on the spot, said Mahmudul Islam, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station.
On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to a local hospital morgue.
