Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith has expressed profound shock and deep sorrow at the death of AHM Moazzem Hossain, editor of The Financial Express.
According to a FE report, Moazzem breathed his last on Wednesday evening at Square Hospital in Dhaka. He was 73.
“Moazzem Hossain was a strong voice in journalism. He was always fearless in publishing the truth. His death is an irreparable loss for the media sector,” Muhith said in a condolence message.
According to bdnews24.com, Muhith also extended sympathy to the grieving family and prayed for peace of the departed soul.
The Jatiya Press Club and Economic Reporters’ Forum have also condoled the death of Moazzem.
