A man was stabbed to death by muggers near Saidabad rail track in the capital early Friday.
The deceased was identified as Ibrahim, 36, son of Bazlur Rahman, hailing from Khulna.
The muggers attacked him when he started moving after getting down from a bus around 4:30am and stabbed him indiscriminately, leaving him badly injured, said Bachchu Miah, a sub-inspector at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost.
UNB said Ibrahim was taken to the hospital where the doctors declared him dead around 6am.
