A young man lost his life as he fell victim to a race between two buses on Mayor Hanif Flyover at Jatrabari in the city on Thursday morning.
The deceased was identified as Nazim Uddin, 32, senior executive of advertising department of Dhaka Tribune.
Hafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Jatrabari Police Station, said the accident took place around 9:45am as Nazim fell down from his motorcycle and got injured critically after being hit by the bus, which was overtaking another bus.
The injured was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, but the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
Later, police arrested the bus driver and helper, reports UNB.
