The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Monday conducted a drive at the Motijheel Government Primary School in the capital after receiving complains that the headmaster was harassing students and taking money illegally for the purpose of admission.
An ACC team, consisting of Assistant Director Nargis Sultana and Deputy Assistant Director Sobuj Hasan, conducted the sudden drive after receiving complaints against headmaster Nurjahan Hamida in its hotline 106.
ACC Director General (administration) of ACC Muhammad Munir Chowdhury, confirming that the allegations were true, said they asked Ministry of Primary and Mass Education to take action against her without any delay.
The ministry suspended her instantly on the commission’s request after Nurjahan confessed to the accusation, added Chowdhury.
