The government has decided to appoint Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan as the next Ambassador of Bangladesh to Germany.
Mr Bhuiyan is a former senior secretary. Before his retirement on January 3, 2020, he held important positions of the government including chairman of the National Board of Revenue, according to a press release.
Bhuiyan obtained his Bachelor of Social Sciences and Masters of Social Sciences degree in Economics from the University of Dhaka. He also completed Master of Arts degree in Development Economics from Williams College in Massachusetts, USA.
He is married and blessed with three children.
