Molotov bomb hurled at bus in Bogura, two hurt 

Two female passengers suffered injuries as miscreants hurled a bomb at a bus on Dhaka-Bogura highway at Sajapur under Shahjahanpur upazila in Bogura on Wednesday noon after the pronouncement of verdicts in two August-21 grenade attack cases.

The injured are Munira Begum, 40, wife of Nazrul Islam of Shimulbari village in Jhaldhaka upazila, and Anjuara Begum, 50, wife of Mozammel Haque of Sadar upazila in Nilphamari district.

Latiful Islam, officer-in-charge of Shahjahanpur Police Station, said some miscreants, numbering 8-10, hurled a petrol bomb at the Dhaka-bound 'Nabil Paribahan' bus while crossing the area around 12:45pm, leaving Munira and Anjuara injured.

A fire also broke out in the bus following the attack which was doused immediately.

Chasing the miscreants, a patrol team of police arrested local Jubo Dal leader Nur Mohammad, 30, a resident of Majira in the upazila, reports UNB.
