MoFA alerts banks, financial institutions about forged letters

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has detected a move of seeking financial support from banks and financial institutions using forged signatures of the ministry officials.

The MoFA issued a statement on Monday urging all to remain alert about such letters, reports UNB.

It also requested all to contact with the Director General of External Publicity Wing ( 9562952) to verify any such letter.

The ministry said a group of people are sending letters to banks and financial institutions using forged signatures of its officials apparently seeking financial support in the name of publishing various publications marking international days.

The MoFA recently detected such move by a section of unscrupulous people.
