The number of mobile internet users in Bangladesh increased by 2.79 million in the month of July, according to the statistics of the country's telecom regulator.
The Bangladesh Telecommunication and Regulatory Commission’s (BTRC) data revealed that the country’s mobile internet users rose to 113.69 million in July 2021 from 110.90 million in June.
However, the number of broadband internet users did not see any increase in July.
According to BTRC, there were a total of 123.74 million internet users in Bangladesh in July this year and 120.95 million in June.
In May, the total number of internet users in the country was 117.31 million.
From January to February 2021, the number increased by only 2000.
