A group of miscreants vandalised the under construction sculpture of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the intersection of Panch Rastar Morh in Kushtia district town, police said on Saturday.
Confirming the matter, Superintendent of Kushtia Police SM Tanvir Arafat told the media that CCTV footage of the scene has been collected. Two unidentified persons were seen vandalising the sculpture.
Police are trying to identify them and the perpetrators will be brought to book soon, the district police chief added.
