A leader of Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) was hacked by some unidentified miscreants at Doel Chattar in the city on Wednesday.
Samiul Alam Sohan, 45, general secretary of DAB and medical officer of Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital(DMCH), came under attack on his way to the hospital.
Samiul said when he was going to DMCH riding a motorbike, two miscreants appeared there and hacked him from behind, leaving him injured. Locals rushed him to the hospital, reports UNB.
DMCH Burn Unit director Dr Abul Kalam said, "The wound was at least 10 inch deep, a surgery was done on him, now he is out of danger."
