Ministry confirms finding SSC question leak evidence

A panel formed by the education ministry has confirmed that the question of a subject was completely leaked during this year's secondary school certificate (SSC) examinations.

The body, formed to scrutinise the allegations of SSC question paper leak, also found that questions of several other subjects were leaked partially.

A ministry panel headed by Technical and Madrasa Education Secretary Md Alamgir addressed the media on Sunday.

He said the body studied the alleged leaks and recommends retaking those tests.

Despite adopting a series of measures, the government has failed to plug question leaks in public examinations.

Following leaks of question papers of eighth and fifth graders last year, the education ministry took several steps.

According to bdnews24.com, the minister made it mandatory for students to enter the centres half an hour before the tests and arrest anyone carrying a smartphone within 200 metres of exam halls.

But all efforts failed as questions of almost every subject of this year’s SSC exams leaked on the social media hours before the tests.
