Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh on Wednesday called upon the traders to shut their respective shops and business entities by 8:00 pm following the increase in COVID-19 infection rate in the country.
"The rate of coronavirus infection is increasing over the last few days. We must be aware and protect ourselves to save us from the infection of the virus. The shops and business establishments in the area (DSCC) should be closed by 8:00 pm," he said after visiting Boys Club in the capital's Gopibag.
He also suggested to stop gossiping and unnecessary roaming around by the people outside their homes after 8:00 pm.
He said that the DSCC will develop Boys Club playground as per it's plan.
Mr Taposh further said that the DSCC wanted to establish playgrounds at all wards under the corporation to facilitate children and youth to play games.
