Light to moderate rain or thunder showers likely

Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Sunday forecast light to moderate rain  across the country in the next 24 hours starting from 6:00am today (Sunday).

“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely at most places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at many places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh and  Sylhet divisions Rangpur division with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” said a Met office bulletin.

Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The well-marked low over West Madhya Pradesh of India and adjoining area persists. The axis of monsoon trough runs through Rajasthan, centre of the well-marked low, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across the central part of Bangladesh.

One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay.

Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.

Country’s maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded 33.3 degree Celsius in Rajshahi and today’s minimum temperature was recorded 12.2 degree Celsius in Cox’s Bazar, reports UNB.
