Light to moderate rain likely in next 24 hours: Met Office

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Monday forecast light to moderate rain at many places all over the country in the next 24 hours commencing 11:00am today (Monday).

“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Khulna and Barishal divisions,” the Met Office said.

Some places over the northern part of the country may see moderately heavy to heavy falls, according to the weather office forecast.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged all over the country, reports UNB citing the bulletin.

Besides, Rainfall activity may continue in the next 72 hours.

The country’s maximum rainfall was recorded at 73mm in Nikli in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the highest temperature was recorded at 35.5 degree Celsius in Chuadanga and lowest 24.6C in Sayedpur.
