Law Minister Anisul Huq on Wednesday said the International Crimes Tribunal Act will be amended for holding the trial of Jamaat-e-Islami for its crimes against humanity during the Liberation War as a political party.
"As per the directive of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the draft of the amended law will be sent to the cabinet division for placing it before the cabinet meeting," said the minister while talking to reporters at the secretariat after a reception given by the Law Ministry officials and staff.
Besides, the minister said, a commission will be formed to identify the criminals who were behind the killing of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, reports UNB.
