The Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE) on Monday formed a six-member committee to ascertain the real causes of a devastating fire at Hashem Foods Ltd at Rupganj in Narayanganj that claimed 52 lives recently.
Joint Secretary of the ministry Md Humayun Kabir as convener will lead the committee which was asked to submit their report within 10 working days to the concerned authority with recommendations, according to an office circular signed by additional secretary of the ministry Dr Md Rezaul Haque on the day.
Only one out of 52 bodies has been identified while DNA test would be required to identify the remaining 51 seriously-burnt bodies.
