A fire broke out at the Korail slum in Dhaka’s Mohakhali on Saturday morning.
To be precise, fire service officials at Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence (BFSCD) said it took place at the Jamai Bazar of the slum.
Started around 6:00 am, it was brought under control around 7:00pm, they said.
A total of six units from BFSCD had to work for around an hour to douse the blaze.
Neither the cause of the flame nor its quantity of losses could be known immediately.
An on-duty officer at the BFSCD control room, Ataur Rahman said they are trying to determine the cause of the fire and its extent of losses.
