The government has appointed Bridges Division Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam as the new cabinet secretary.
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal told reporters after a meeting at the Cabinet Division on Wednesday, reports bdnews24.com.
Khandker Anwarul Islam will replace Mohammad Shafiul Alam, who will be appointed as the alternative executive director of the World Bank after the end of his tenure as cabinet secretary in October this year.
