JS goes into session Sunday

The Jatiya Sangsad will go into its 22nd session on Sunday after a 58-day recess.

President M Abdul Hamid convened the session exercising his power bestowed upon him by article 72 (1) of the Constitution.

The House proceedings of the 22nd session of the 10th parliament will begin at 5:00pm on the day.

Prior to the session, the business advisory committee of parliament will hold a meeting with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.

The committee will fix the duration and businesses of the session, reports BSS.

Earlier, the 21st session (budget session) of incumbent parliament was prorogued on July 12 last.
