The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Shipping Ministry on Sunday recommended establishing eco-park in each upazila of the country.
The parliamentary watchdog came up with the suggestion at its 60th meeting held at the Jatiya Sangshad Bhaban with its chairman Major (Retd) Rafiqul Islam the chair.
It also suggested taking necessary steps to turn the Bangladesh Shipping Corporation into a modern organisation.
Committee members Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan, Md Abdul Hye, M Abdul Latif, Md Anwarul Azim (Anar) and Momotaz Begum attended the meeting, reports UNB.
