Mostak Ahmed, a senior journalist of Daily Bhorer Dak, passed away while undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Kidney Diseases and Urology (NIKDU) in Dhaka.
Mr Ahmed, former president of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU), breathed his last 10:55 am on Monday.
The Veteran journalist had been suffering from heart and kidney diseases, was admitted to the hospital on August 31, reports UNB.
His body will be taken to Jatiya Press Club in the afternoon.
His namaz-e-janaza will be held at the DRU after Johr prayers.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shock at the death of Mostak Ahmed.
