Jamburi Park, a recreational park covering around 8.55 acres of land at Agrabad area in Chattogram, opened to the public from Saturday.
Public Works minister Mosharrof Hossain inaugurated the park on Saturday with the presence of hundreds of the visitors, reports UNB.
The public works department constructed the park at a cost of around TK 200 million.
The park includes a man-made-lake, three big galleries, cafeteria, Glass bridge, jogging track, 138 sitting bench, public toilets, walkway all along the bordering wall, and arcades of trees for birds to live in, making it a wonderful recreation spot for the city crowds.
The park will remain open from 5am to 8pm everyday of the week, with the lavish lighting coming on soon after the dusk. No fee will be taken for entry.
CDA Chairman Abdus Salam, Zila Parishad Chairman MA Salam, Public Works officials among others were present.
