Indian naval ship reaches Chittagong port with medical equipment

A ship of Indian Navy carrying two medical oxygen plants (MOPs) and medical equipment reached Chittagong port on Thursday.

Sources said Indian naval ship INS Savitri carrying two 960 LPM MOPs and medical equipment anchored at jetty number 5 of the port around 9:00 am.

Oxygen plants and medical equipment given by the Indian government as gift would be given to Bangladesh Navy and Dhaka Medical College.

Chief Staff Officer of Bangladesh Navy of Chattogram Naval Zone Captain Mainuddin welcomed the Indian ship. Commander Mahbubur Rahman and Divisional Health Director Dr Hasan Shahriar received the gifts on behalf of Bangladesh Navy and Dhaka Medical College respectively.
