Indian foreign minister arrives on Thursday
The Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will arrive in the capital by a special flight of the Indian Air Force on Thursday.
According to officials, Jaishankar will hand over an invitation letter from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Sheikh Hasina.

The visit of the foreign minister to Bangladesh may be seen in the context of frequent bilateral high-level visits and exchanges particularly as both nations commemorate fifty years of the establishment of diplomatic ties,” the Indian External Affairs Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

Jaishangkar previously came to Dhaka in March last year.

Commenting on the visit, Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen said the Indian foreign minister will carry a special message for Bangladesh.
After landing in Dhaka, Jaishankar will meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, said an official, adding the meeting time is yet to be finalised.
Later, Jaishangkar will hold a bilateral meeting with Bangladesh Dr Momen.
