Hot weather persists amid moderate rain

Hot weather persisted in the city on Sunday as well amid moderate rain with steady wind.

The Met Office recorded 32mm rainfall between 6.00 am and 6.00 pm with a 17-20 kph south-easterly wind in Dhaka on the day.

The velocity of wind might rise to 40-50 kph at night, said Met Office.

Highest rain of the country was recorded at Cox's Bazar on the day at 155 mm.

The city air had also a higher presence of humidity between 89 per cent and 97 per cent.

Maximum temperature of the city was 31 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature was 26.3 degree on the day until 6.00 pm.

The country's highest temperature was recorded at 33.8 degrees in Rajshahi and lowest in Cox's Bazar at 24 degrees.

Met Office forecasted moderate to heavy rain in most places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, Sylhet and Dhaka divisions next one day starting from 6.00 pm amid active monsoon.

Rain might also occur at many places under Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions.

Day temperature might remain static in next twenty four hours across the country.

 Sunrise is likely to be at 5:34 am and sunset at 6: 30 pm on Monday in Dhaka, said Met Office.
