The home ministry on Thursday promoted 96 Additional Superintendents of Police (Adi-SPs) to the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP).
The promoted officers were upgraded to grade-5 from grade 6 of the government pay scale, reports BSS citing an official release.
Earlier, the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) of the Home Ministry recommended to the higher authority of the government for their promotion. They would be posted to new places soon, the circular also said.
