Hifazat-e Islam chief Junaid Babunagari has died at a hospital in Chattogram.
He passed away at the CSCR hospital around 12:45 pm, said Mir Idris Nadvi, a Hifazat central organising secretary, bdnews24.com reports.
Babunagari was taken to hospital Thursday morning from Hathazari Madrasa after he fell ill.
Babunagari was about seventy years of old. He suffered from cardiac problems and other health issues.
