HC rejects writ challenging candidacy of actor Farooque

The High Court has rejected a writ petition filed challenging the candidature of Awami League candidate from Dhaka-17 candidacy Akbar Hossain Pathan Farooque alleging Farooque is a bank loan defaulter.

The HC bench of Justice JBM Hassan and Justice MD Khairul Alam came up with the order on Wednesday after hearing on the writ filed by BNP candidate Barrister Andaleeve Rahman Partho from the same constituency, reports UNB.

Barrister Andalib Rahman Partha filed the writ on Monday.
