Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has sent one tonnes of ‘Amrapali’ Mango as a gift to Ram Nath Kovind, the President of India and Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi.
The mangos were sent to the residents of the President and the Prime Minister of India through the diplomatic channel, a spokesperson of the Bangladesh High Commission in Delhi said.
It may be mentioned that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had also sent mango as a gift to the President and Prime Minister of India last year.
She also sent mangoes to the Chief Ministers of West Bengal, Tripura, and Assam last year.
The relationship between Bangladesh and India has rendered a new height and the “Mango & Hilsa diplomacy” is making the ties more vibrant, the spokesperson said.
