Govt takes cautionary measures to prevent bird flu outbreak

A bird flu outbreak in India has forced the Bangladesh government to take cautionary measures for preventing any spread of the viral disease in the country.

The Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock on Tuesday directed all concerned government agencies to take necessary preparations to stop the outbreak of any kind of flu for protecting the people already battered with the coronavirus pandemic.

The ministry sent a letter to the Department of Livestock Services (DLS) on the day in this regard.

The Times of India reported that the bird flu had been confirmed in 10 states so far.

According to the report, these states are: Kerala, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Uttarakhand and Maharashtra.
