The government has issued a set of 18 pandemic instructions, including curbs on all kinds of assembly as coronavirus cases and deaths surge in Bangladesh.
The notice signed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Principal Secretary Ahmad Kaikaus will be effective immediately. The order will remain in force initially for two weeks, reports bdnews24.com.
Ahsan Kibria Siddiqui, an official at the Prime Minister’s Office, confirmed the issuance of the notice on Monday.

# Mosques and other places of worship must follow health protocols.
# Theatres and cinema halls must limit the size of the audience. All kinds of fairs are discouraged.
# Public transports are not allowed to carry passengers more than 50 per cent of their capacity
# Inter-district traffic in hotspots of infections should be controlled or suspended, if necessary.
# Passengers arriving from abroad must complete 14 days of quarantine in hotels under self-funded arrangement.
# Vendors must follow health rules while selling daily staples in open spaces.
# Medicine shops must follow the health rules.
# People must wear masks and follow other rules at health service centres.
# Both storekeepers and customers must follow the health protocol properly in a shopping mall.
# All educational institutes and tuition centres must remain closed.
# Aimless pedestrian movement will not be allowed; movement after 10 pm without an emergency must be controlled.
# People must wear masks outside or face legal action.
# Coronavirus patients or persons manifesting the symptoms must be isolated. Those exposed to the patients must be quarantined too.
# Government, semi-government and private organisations, except for the emergency service providers, should run with 50% of their workforce.
# Pregnant, sick and employees aged over 55 must work from home.
# Meetings, seminars and workshops should go online as much as possible.
