The government has extended the closure of all educational institutions until November 14 as the existing Covid-19 situation in the country has not yet improved.
Education Minister Dipu Moni announced this at a virtual press briefing on Thursday. The immediate past extension of keeping educational institutions shut was until October 31.
She said that the government is, meanwhile, thinking of reopening all educational institutions on a limited scale and a decision about this may come within a week.
As the coronavirus broke out in the country, the government on March 16 announced the closure of all educational institutions only to extend it several times citing lack of improvements in the situation.
