Govt allocates Tk 13.7m for flood-hit farmers

Government has allocated Tk 13.70 million (1.37 crore) as incentive for flood hit small and marginal farmers to cultivate five types of crops in Jamalpur district.

Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) office in the district on Tuesday said a total of 14,200 poor and marginal farmers will get seeds and fertiliser at free of cost under "Post Flood Rehabilitation" programme, reports BSS.

Farmers will get the incentive for cultivating wheat, maize, mustard, pulse and Boro paddy in the upcoming Robi season.
