The guidelines for net metering of solar rooftops will be finalised within a month, on Power Secretary Dr Ahmad Kaikaus.
The power secretary said this on Thursday while addressing a discussion at the Bidyut Bhaban in the capital.
"However, we have made available draft of the Solar Rooftop Net Metering Guidelines on website for taking opinions from the people," he added.
At the meeting, the speakers laid emphasis on producing solar power to meet growing demands of electricity of the country, according to BSS.
Chairman of Bangladesh Power Development Board Khaled Mahmud, Chairman of Rural Electrification Board Major General(retd) Mainuddin and Member of Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission Rahman Morshad, among others, were present at the meeting.
