A fire broke out at the godowns on the eastern side of the Baitul Mukarram Mosque, the national mosque of the country, in Dhaka city as devotees were set to say Jumma prayers on Friday.
No casualties were reported.
The prayers, however, started and continued as usual, said Tashfique Mahmood, a sub-editor of The Financial Express from the scene.
Several firefighting units rushed to the spot and doused the flame around 2:00pm.
Fire fighters could not determine the cause of the fire immediately.
