A garment factory owner, who had a large amount of debt, committed suicide in Fatulla area of Naranayganj on Saturday,
The deceased was identified as Abdul Matin, 47, son of late Abdul Jalil of Daulatpur in Kushtia.
Additional superintendent of district police Sorfuddin Ahmed said police recovered the body from his house along with around 10 am at Majdair Pakapool area of Fatulla.
Police also recovered a suicide note from his room, reports UNB.
In the note, he wrote about his frustration over the failure of paying the debts worth of Taka 25 million.
According to police, Matin hanged himself with the ceiling fan of his room. The body was sent to Narayanganj General Hospital for autopsy.
