Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) arranged free dengue tests at 13 more health centres to identify dengue patients.
With these, a total of 40 health centres and urban maternity hospitals in the DNCC area will be able to test for dengue at free of cost.
The tests are NS1, IgG and IgM.
Free dengue tests can be done at those city maternity homes and health centres every day from 9:00am to 2:00pm except Friday.
Adequate kits for dengue tests have already been provided in all these centres.
The results of the dengue test will be known immediately.
However, someone must show a doctor's prescription for a dengue test.
The country witnessed a massive dengue outbreak last year.
As many as 101,354 people were hospitalised last year. Of them, some 101,037 people got full recovery.
A total of 179 people were killed due to the mosquito-borne disease in 2019, according to the official data.
The dengue outbreak will worsen the situation as the country is still struggling to stem the spread of Covid-19 this year.
