The government has appointed former senior secretary Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan as the chairman of the National Board of Revenue.
The retired bureaucrat has been brought back on a two-year contract, according a public administration ministry order released on Wednesday, says bdnews24.
Mosharraf will also work as Senior Secretary of the Internal Resources Division for the next two years on contractual basis.
As per the notification, the appointment will come into effect from the date of his joining the post.
Former NBR chairman M Nojibur Rahman was made Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister.
