Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali will pay an official visit to Japan from May 13 to 16 at the invitation of his Japanese counterpart Taro Kono.
A diplomatic source said the foreign minister is expected to seek stronger support from Japan to deal with Rohingya crisis and find its early solution.
AH Mahmood Ali will also raise other bilateral and international issues, during his visit, reports UNB.
On this occasion, Taro Kono will hold a foreign ministers' meeting followed by a dinner with Minister Ali, said the Japanese Foreign Ministry on Friday.
Minister Ali's visit to Japan is expected to further deepen the bilateral relations between Japan and Bangladesh, it said.
