Stocks of food grains at public warehouses reached 1.362 million tonnes as of April 7, 2019.
Of the total amount, there is 1.209 million tonnes of rice and 0.153 million tonnes of wheat, according to The Ministry of Food.
The amount of current stored food grains is satisfactory and adequate so far. The stored grains can meet the demands for over a month and there is no possibility of deficit in future, it added.
