Ferry services on the two major routes in Shimulia-Kathalbari and Paturia-Daulatdia in the Padma river were disrupted early Saturday due to dense fog.
The ferry services were disrupted in Shimulia-Kathalbarifrom 2:30 am due to poor visibility caused by heavy fog.
Ferry services on Paturia-Daulatdia route in the Padma River resumed after eight hours of disruption caused by thick fog on Saturday morning.
"The ferry services were disrupted from 2:30 am due to poor visibility caused by thick fog," said UNB citing Nasir Mohammad Chowdhury, assistant general manager of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) at Aricha.
Later, the ferry services resumed around 10:30am as the fog disappeared.
