Flood unlikely for next five days

The country’s people near the major rivers’ basin are not likely to witness any risk of flood in the next five days, starting from Friday’s morning, according to a bulletin of the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC).

“There is no risk of flood in the major river’ basins of the country in the next five days”, says the FFWC.

All the major rivers of the country are in a falling trend, which may continue in the next five days, it stated.

Number of flood affected districts now stands at one, it says.

Three points of the two rivers are flowing above the danger level, the bulletin said.

Of the monitored water level station 109, 13 rivers are rising while 93 are declining, it said.

Three rivers remain steady, the bulletin added.
