Technical glitches forced five out of seven units of Ghorashal Thermal Power Plant to suspend operation.
Mir Ruhul Kuddus, the plant's Chief Engineer, said the glitches will be gradually fixed.
"Unit 1, which was shut down on July 31, is likely to resume operation from Saturday afternoon," he said. "Fixing the rest will take some time."
Unit 6 has remained shut for several years after a fire incident, while units 7, 2 and 5 were forced out of operation last month.
On Friday, 240 megawatts and 160MW was generated by Unit 3 and Unit 4 respectively, power plant sources said, reports UNB.
