Five more arrested over lynching of Badda woman

Police arrested five more people from different parts of the capital on Wednesday night in connection with the lynching of a woman in Badda.

The arrestees were identified as Sohel Rana, 30, Raju, 23, Murad, 22, Billal, 28 and Aksadul, 22.

Rafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Badda Police Station, said the five were arrested for their suspected involvement.

So far, 13 people have been arrested in this connection, reports UNB.

Police said they would produce the suspects before the court on Thursday (today) and seek seven-day remand for each of them.

A case was filed after Taslima Begum Renu was beaten to death on July 20 at North Badda over child abduction rumour.
