Five policemen in Chuadanga have been closed to district police lines for reportedly taking 'illegal facilities' from some job seekers of police constable post.
Police Super Mahabubur Rahman said the action was taken against reserve officer inspector Shahiduzzaman, a sub inspector and three constables based on information provided by Detective Branch of police and they were attached to the District Police Lines on Sunday night.
Recruitment test to the police constable post began on June 22 and the five policemen allegedly took 'illegal facilities' from the job seekers, he said.
A probe body was formed with Additional Police Super (Sadar Circle) Abul Bashar as its chief.
